NGC 4565 - EDGE-ON SPIRAL GALAXY. Located in the constellation Coma Berenices approximately 31 million light years away. Some believe that our view of this galaxy is comparable to what we might see if we could look back at our own Milky Way from a vantage point 49 million light years away. There are two smaller galaxies also visible in this image. Near the bottom center is NGC 4562 and along the right side close to 1/3 of the way down, is IC 3546.
